Memphis Depay drew attention on the Corinthians bench during the 1-1 draw with Flamengo at Neo Química Arena in the eighth round of the Brasileiro. In a post afterwards, the forward said his handset use was solely to contact Netherlands medical staff following his March call-up, that he left the dressing room to support the team, and that he was disappointed with the result while vowing to keep working.

Corinthians have around nine days to prepare before facing Fluminense at the Maracanã on the first of April at 21:30 in the ninth round.
