Memphis posted a cryptic Instagram message on Wednesday, saying he has kept his direction despite setbacks, as talks with Corinthians continue, according to Globo.com.

At the 2026 World Cup he was largely a back-up, playing only 51 minutes and registering one assist. He did not come on against Morocco, the match that confirmed the Dutch exit after extra time following a draw in normal time.

Corinthians have allowed the Dutch forward to take a holiday following the tournament exit.

His contract with the Brazilian club is due to expire on 31 July this year.
