Manchester United are willing to welcome Marcus Rashford back to Carrington for pre-season training if Barcelona continue to try to lowball over his transfer fee.
The Catalan giants are keen on adding the on-loan Red to their ranks permanently upon the culmination of his temporary spell, but are unwilling to shell out his £26 million transfer fee in full.

As per Manchester Evening News, Barcelona president Joan Laporta recently put forth the idea of taking the forward on loan for another full season while paying a percentage of his asking price.
However, United chiefs ‘insist’ there will be no lengthy negotiations for Barcelona to try and haggle – they either pay up this summer, or they won’t be keeping Rashford next term.
It’s thought that the key decision makers at Old Trafford already regret setting such a low buy option for Rashford, considering how he’s fared since swapping his boyhood club for his first foreign venture.
In the 38 appearances he has made for the Blaugrana, the 28-year-old has returned 10 goals and 13 assists.
He has particularly excelled in the Champions League, where he’s notched five goals and four assists in just nine games; it goes without saying that Rashford will be hoping to have the same impact in Barcelona’s last-16 second leg at home to Newcastle United tomorrow night, with the tie perfectly poised at 1-1.
Although there is a possibility that the Carrington graduate is sent back to United in the summer, the expectation is still that he would then seal a move elsewhere instead of being reintegrated into the squad – even if Michael Carrick is appointed permanently.
