Nicolas Jackson experienced a turbulent end to the transfer window. Forced to return to London just as he was about to sign with Bayern Munich due to Liam Delap's injury, the Senegalese striker eventually made his way to the Bavarian club.
However, one particular clause in his loan contract raised a lot of questions. Uli Hoeness, supervisory board member and former president of Bayern Munich, stated that the deal would only become permanent if the Lion of Teranga started 40 matches for the German champions during the 2025-2026 season.
The 24-year-old was asked about this clause and played down any concerns: "Of course, I know that he [Hoeneß] is a legend for this club. I have a lot of respect for him. I've known about him forever," he said.
"My job is simply to play and help the team win matches. The number of games is not my priority. I want to achieve great things with the club," he concluded.
It's worth noting that the Banjul native played only 37 matches in all competitions for the Blues last season, registering 13 goals and 6 assists.
