AC Milan are one of the teams that have asked for information about Lazio left-back Nuno Tavares amid a brilliant start to the season.
Il Messaggero (via Calciomercato.com) recalls the words of Lazio’s sporting director in an interview with the club’s official channels, during which he confirmed that some of their top performers are attracting interest.
“We had enquiries for Rovella, Dele-Bashiru, Castellanos and Tavares. Lazio have many attractive names on the market, but we must not dismantle the team, but shore it up,” he said. It is a clear mission to dispel any notion of losing stars, but as always money talks.
According to the Rome-based paper, Tavares has been the subject of a call from Juventus, Milan and Inter. The three clubs are keen on the 24-year-old, who arrived in the summer on loan from Arsenal with an obligation to buy, and has eight assists to his name.
Given that the Rossoneri already have Theo Hernandez in his role, it is likely that the directors have enquired out of precaution. The Frenchman has a deal which expires in 18 months and although there have been positive signs about a renewal, nothing can be taken for granted until it is signed.
