Messi reaches 100 MLS goals+assists for Inter Miami, smashing league record by 31 games | OneFootball

Lionel Messi has obliterated the Major League Soccer record as the fastest player to reach 100 regular-season goals and assists.

TheInter Miami superstar brought up a century of goal involvements during the club's 4-2 win at Toronto on Saturday.

Messi set up goals forLuis Suarez and Sergio Reguilon, before scoring the fourth for his eighth goal of the 2026 campaign.

"It was a hard game and it was difficult to play, especially in the first half," Messi said,via ESPN.

"But we were able to get an important win because we had to win given the recent results and how things happened, so I am happy."

Messi has reached 100 regular-season goals and assists in just 64 appearances. He has scoerd 59 goals for Inter Miami, adding 41 assists.

The eight-time Ballon d'Or winner broke the previous record, held by Sebastian Giovinco, by an incredible 31 games.

It continues a superb spell in the United States for the 38-year-old. Messi has been named as theMLS's Most Valuable Player in 2024 and 2025, and won the league's Golden Boot last season.

During his time in Miami, he has helped The Herons to the Leagues Cup, Supporters' Shield and MLS Cup.
