Metz reject Bursaspor’s opening bid for Michel Mboula | OneFootball

According to L'Équipe, Metz have rejected an opening bid from Bursaspor for centre-back Michel Mboula, and the Turkish club are expected to return with a second offer soon.

Relegation to Ligue 2 left Mboula among those likely to move on this summer. Interest has been strong, with Bursaspor the most proactive.

The 23-year-old Gabon international has two years left on his Metz contract, and Bursaspor’s initial proposal sought to buy out that remaining term.

Mboula previously spent 18 months in Türkiye with second-tier Sanliurfaspor before joining Metz in February 2025.

Last season he was hampered by a hamstring problem and featured only 14 times in Ligue 1.
