Mezian Mesloub set to sign first professional contract with Lens | OneFootball

Mezian Mesloub, the 16-year-old Lens forward, is set to sign his first professional contract with his academy club.

He burst onto the scene in May, scoring his first Ligue 1 goal five seconds after coming on against Nantes. According to L'Équipe, the Portugal Under-17 international drew a proposal from Benfica and interest from PSV Eindhoven, but he will commit to RC Lens, with the length of the deal not disclosed.

Lens made securing his signature a priority for summer 2026 and are close to finalising it.

Strongly attached to the region and keen to continue his development in a competitive environment he knows, Mesloub gave his approval quickly.

His pre-season already includes a first brace in a friendly against Boulogne-sur-Mer last week.
