Michaël Cuisance signs for RC Lens until 2030 | OneFootball

RC Lens have made their first summer signing, bringing in French midfielder Michaël Cuisance from Hertha Berlin on a contract through to 2030.

The club announced the deal on Friday. Lens have qualified for next season's Champions League. The 26-year-old joins from Hertha, where he was under contract until 2029 and became a key figure in the second tier last term.

A Nancy academy graduate, Cuisance broke through at Borussia Mönchengladbach before joining Bayern Munich in 2019.

He sampled Ligue 1 with a 2020-2021 loan at Marseille, making 30 appearances in all competitions. The move brings him back to France after spells in Germany and Italy.

At Lens he will work under Dino Toppmöller, recently appointed to replace Pierre Sage. The pair previously crossed paths at Bayern, where Toppmöller served as assistant coach.
