Michele Kang honoured with IOC European award for gender equality, inclusion and diversity | OneFootball

Olympique Lyonnais president Michele Kang has received the IOC’s European award for gender equality, inclusion and diversity.

According to L'Équipe, the prize, proposed by the CNOSF, recognises her major contribution to the development of football and her exceptional commitment to structural change in women’s sport.

Kang’s latest honour follows a prolific 2025, when she was named ESPN’s Philanthropist of the Year and included in the Financial Times’ list of the 25 most influential people.

She formally took sole charge of the Lyon club in June, one year after becoming president of its women’s section.

She also owns the club.
