Miguelito celebrates Santos contract renewal to 2029 | OneFootball

Santos have extended attacking midfielder Miguelito's contract until 31 May 2029, the club confirmed on Friday. The Bolivian, a Menino da Vila, had been tied to the club until April next year.

He expressed pride in wearing the shirt, thanked the club for its care since arriving young, and said he is pleased with his recent progress. He added that Santos is part of his story and he hopes to repay the support on the pitch after renewing.

Born in 2004 in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, he joined Santos in 2018 at 14 and quickly stood out in the academy. He stepped up to the first teams of Santos and Bolivia in 2022.

For the national side he took the number seven shirt and became a key figure, scoring nine goals in 32 appearances, including seven in World Cup qualifying.

After natural fluctuations at club level, he spent 2025 on loan at América-MG to gain minutes. In Belo Horizonte he returned seven goals and five assists, then rejoined Santos in 2026 with added experience.

Club president Marcelo Teixeira said Miguelito had long been viewed as an important asset. He described the loan as a deliberate move to build rhythm, noted the player returned more mature and earned his place, and said the renewal underlines their trust in him and the academy.
