Mikayil Faye ‘linked with’ move to Nürnberg | OneFootball

Mikayil Faye has been linked with a move to 2. Bundesliga side Nürnberg as the club assess defensive reinforcements.

Sky Sports reports that the 22-year-old Rennes centre-back is of interest for the new season. He can also operate at left-back.

Nürnberg are currently in a training camp in South Tyrol. Miroslav Klose has said the club need to approach the transfer market slowly.

Faye was previously on Barcelona’s books but did not make a first-team appearance before leaving for Rennes in 2024 for €10.3 million.

He spent last season on loan at US Cremonese, starting only twice. The Serie A side were relegated.
