Mikel Oyarzabal helped Real Sociedad to Copa del Rey final success this weekend, as the Basque outfit upset Atletico Madrid to claim the trophy.

Sociedad's shootout win was only their fourth Spanish Cup triumph, followinga thrilling 2-2 draw at La Cartuja in Seville. Oyarzabal scored from the spot in normal time to further enhance his reputation as one of modern football's best big-game players.

The Sociedad skipper has played in six major finals during his senior career and, remarkably, has scored in all of them.

It was Oyarzabal who scored the decisive goal when Sociedad beat Athletic Club in the first-ever Basque Derby in a Copa del Rey in 2020. The Spaniard's strike earned Sociedad a 1-0 win and ended the club's 34-year wait for the trophy.

Oyarzabal has also delivered on the big occasion for Spain. He's scored in two UEFA Nations League finals, in the 2020 Olympics football final, and in La Roja's Euro 2024 final win over England.
