Milan Futuro beat Castellanzese 3-1 at the Giovanni Provasi stadium in Castellanza as they bounce back to winning ways after last weekend's home defeat to Varesina. They responded well and reinforced the positive progress made throughout the season. Massimo Oddo's Rossoneri put out a composed performance against a tricky opposition despite their position in the league. Magrassi was on top form, scoring two goals and producing plenty of quality on the pitch, while duo Pagliei and Minotti impressed at the back, stepping up in the absence of Zukić. Cappelletti was once again a constant threat down the wing.
It took the Rossoneri just 15 minutes to score the opener thanks to Magrassi, before the hosts equalised from a penalty taken by Chessa. In the second half, however, Magrassi made the difference by completing his brace to restore the lead with a powerful and clinical performance throughout. In added time, Branca put the game to bed on the counterattack. A solid all-round performance from Milan Futuro - strong in defence, clinical going forward, and able to manage the difficult moments against a dangerous Castellanzese. The three points, combined with the draw against Leon, move them up to fourth place on 53 points, level with Vimercatese. Now attention turns to the final matchday against Vogherese where the Rossoneri will be aiming to finish the regular season on a high.

MATCH REPORT The game got off to fast start at the Provasi. In the 11th minute, Chaka Traorè won the ball back in his own half and launched a long pass towards Magrassi. The Milan Futuro striker got into the box and fired a shot that took a deflection, looping just over the crossbar. The breakthrough didn’t take long to arrive. In the 15th minute, Cappelletti broke down the right and teed up Magrassi, who got in front of his marker and finished first time with his left foot, placing it into the top corner to make it 1-0. Milan Futuro continued to push forward, first through Chaka Traorè and then Cappelletti, but it was Castellanzese who grew into the game and got their reward before half-time. In the 36th minute, Chessa reacted quickest to a loose ball, getting ahead of Torriani, who brought him down in the box. The referee pointed to the spot. Chessa stepped up and converted to make it 1-1. In the closing stages of the first half, the hosts kept pressing, with Castelletto’s diagonal effort going just wide of Torriani’s left post. The teams went into the break level, one goal apiece.
In the second half, Milan Futuro started strongly, determined to regain the lead, with Magrassi once again the main threat. In the 49th minute, Tartaglia found the striker unmarked in the box, and his header forced a save from Frigerio. Moments later, Magrassi failed to connect properly with a slightly overhit cross from Traorè. In the 56th minute came another big chance. Magrassi, played through by Menon, saw his shot come back off the post after a crucial touch from the goalkeeper. A goal was coming and in the 60th minute Magrassi turned inside the box following a pass from Sala and fired an unstoppable left-footed strike into the near post. It was 2-1 to Milan Futuro. Castellanzese responded in the 71st minute, with Guerrisi hitting the crossbar from close range with a header. Late on, Simone Branca was subbed on. He had two chances late on: in the 91st minute he was denied by a goal-line clearance from Gritti after rounding the goalkeeper, before finally getting his goal in the 93rd minute, finishing off a Cappelletti assist to make it 3-1 and seal the win.
