Milan were reportedly in contact with Atalanta executive Tony D’Amico on Friday, as the Rossoneri continue their search for a new sporting director for the 2025-26 season.
Milan are currently without a sporting director and have been reviewing several candidates over the last few months. The club had been leaning towards the appointment of ex-Juventus man Fabio Paratici, but later dropped him due to legal complications.
Reports earlier in the week indicated that former Lazio executive Igli Tare is the leading candidate for the role, particularly after a meeting with Rossoneri CEO Giorgio Furlani on Tuesday, but there is still no formal agreement for his appointment either.

While Tare had been subbed the frontrunner, numerous outlets in Italy confirm that Milan are still exploring their search, and that Furlani is keen on the idea of appointing D’Amico, who has spent the last three years with Atalanta, and formerly with Hellas Verona.
According to reports from Sky Sport Italia, Milan were in contact with D’Amico again on Friday, and his candidacy is now becoming an increasing possibility.
Coincidentally, Milan will host Atalanta in San Siro in Serie A this weekend, where it is possible that talks could continue.
