Serie A side Milan took a 3-0 hammering against Udinese at the weekend, as they remained at third in the table.
Intriguingly, it was Nicolo Zaniolo who was the chief destroyer on Saturday. He assisted a goal and was a constant threat while attacking.
This isn’t new for the Italian, who now has contributed to 13 goals in all competitions. Get Italian Football News have covered Milan’s interest in him, with Max Allegri keen on a move.
Now, the likelihood of the Rossoneri making a formal approach is rising. Daniele Longo notes that Allegri tried to sign Zaniolo during his time at Juventus. Besides, Milan have also tried to sign him twice in the past.
First attempt came during the Paolo Maldini era and Zaniolo was at Roma at that point. Later, Ricky Massara also tried to bring him to the San Siro from Galatasaray but he then ended up at Udinese.
The Friulians are expected to sign him permanently at the end of the summer. Milan will then look to sign him, with Allegri still very much keen on the winger.
