Milan reassured by Pubill tests, but uncertain about Doue’ option | OneFootball

According to reports, the medical tests that Milan had Marc Pubill undergo were positive, so now the club must decide whether to invest €15m or wait for first choice Guela Doué.

The Rossoneri need a new right-back, having released Kyle Walker, Davide Calabria and Alessandro Florenzi this summer, leaving them with precious few options even for pre-season friendly games.

After Tuttomercatoweb reported today that Milan had sent medical staff to Barcelona for tests with Pubill, more details are emerging from that surprising situation.

Milan wanted to be sure of Pubill fitness

La Gazzetta dello Sport, Sky Sport Italia and more all insist the tests were reassuring on the state of the knee that underwent surgery in 2023, and which caused him to fail a medical with Atalanta in August 2024.

Now it is up to the Rossoneri to decide if they want to make a formal offer to UD Almeria, whose asking price is expected to be in the region of €15m.

These tests were considered important so that Milan could decide if they’d wait for their first choice, Strasbourg right-back Doué, or go for Spain Under-21 international Pubill instead.
