AC Milan returned home with the Supercoppa Italiana trophy after wins over Juventus and Inter. Now, the club have confirmed plans to display the cup.
In case you have been living under a rock for a few days, Milan secured the 50th trophy in the history of the club – and in their 125th anniversary season – by beating their two biggest rivals Juventus and Inter.
They came from behind in both games, too. Juve led 1-0 in the semi-final before Christian Pulisic and a Federico Gatti own-goal spun the game on its head, then they came from 2-0 down against their city rivals with Theo Hernandez, Pulisic and Tammy Abraham all scored.
As MilanNews among other sources are confirming, the trophy of the Italian Super Cup has been exhibited from today at the entrance of the Casa Milan Museum. The cup will remain there for visitors to take photos of until Saturday morning.
At that point the trophy will be moved to San Siro where Milan-Cagliari will be played in the evening and where the team will be able to celebrate this victory together with the Italian fans.
