Milan’s Diego Moreira reveals key reason behind brace v Lazio | OneFootball

Serie A sides Milan and Lazio played out a very entertaining 2-2 draw at the Stadio Olimpico and Diego Moreira turned out to be the star of the show.

The Roman side led in the first-half, thanks to goals from Matteo Cancellieri and Tijjani Noslin. Just when things seemed to be going against them, Milan saw new signing Diego Moreira score a quickfire brace to give them a shot at getting three points.

A win didn’t come but the arrival from Strasbourg was a clear positive, especially as he struggled against Juventus.

The ex-Strasbourg man spoke to DAZN about his performance. He revealed playing on the left side became the key to his success.

He said – via MilanNews, revealing how he would’ve wanted to win: “Yes, I’m very happy with my first two goals. But as I said, I would have been happier if we had won in the end. But I’m very happy. I think we played a great second half and deserved more.”

When asked about what was different today, as compared to the Juventus game, he said:

“I think it was a fitting introduction to the Italian league, and it was against a great team. The coach asked me to do something different. Today I played on the left. As I said, I can play on both flanks, and for me it’s the same thing.“

He hailed Ruben Amorim’s decision to play him on the left side, saying: “Today the coach made a great choice in putting me on the left, so we’ll see where I play in the next match.”
