Gabriel Milito has started his overhaul at Guadalajara, and the first casualty is Miguel Tapias. The defender is not in the Argentine’s plans and has been frozen out of the project.

BolaVip reports that Tapias does not fit Milito’s system and has played only eight minutes this half-season.

He has also been overtaken in the pecking order by Campillo and Aguirre.

Despite a contract running until December 2027, his current status leaves him as a “gasto fantasma” for Amaury Vergara.

The situation makes clear that his future will not be in Mexico.
