According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Leeds City Council has confirmed Millennium Square will stage a World Cup 2026 fanzone on Wednesday, 15 July, with the England semi-final shown live on a giant high-definition LED screen and concert-style sound.
England reached the last four by beating Norway 2-1 after extra time in Miami, where Jude Bellingham kept his cool in stifling heat and humidity under Thomas Tuchel’s watch.
Entry is by advance ticket only and the event is standing-only.
Gates open at six pm with a live DJ and pre-match entertainment, and kick-off is scheduled for eight pm. The outdoor arena will include two licensed bars, street food, toilets and drinking water. The venue is fully accessible with a raised viewing platform and disabled toilets.
Tickets cost six pounds per person, inclusive of booking fees, and go on sale at 10am on Monday, 13 July. They can be booked online or by calling 0113 376 0318, are limited to two per person, and are expected to sell out quickly. The event is open to ages 14 and above, with all under 18s accompanied by an adult.
Leeds City Council’s executive member for economy, Councillor Salma Arif, welcomed the chance for supporters to gather in the city centre, describing Millennium Square’s atmosphere as one of a kind and expressing hope for another memorable win.
