Bayern Munich are in contact with Eintracht Frankfurt full-back Nathaniel Brown, but they face competition from other top clubs.

Premier League champions Arsenal have been linked with a move for the 22-year-old versatile defender, while Real Madrid and Manchester City are also keen.

Brown has progressed immensely in the past two seasons at Frankfurt, and will feature for Germany at the 2026 World Cup.

Are Bayern Munich interested in signing Nathaniel Brown?

Christian Falk has exclusively explained the situation to CFBayern Insider, claiming that Bayern have already made an approach to Frankfurt about Brown.

The Bavarian giants were told that Frankfurt will not sell Brown for less than €60m [£51.9m], and ideally they are looking for €65m [£56.2m].

Most importantly, his price can go high if the versatile defender enjoys a strong World Cup.

What should encourage Bayern is that the defender wants to take the next step in his career, and he would love to play under Vincent Kompany.

The Bavarian giants are already in contact with the defender, and they will have no problems in meeting personal terms.

Falk said: “I talked a lot about Nathaniel Brown with both clubs, Eintracht Frankfurt and Bayern Munich. FC Bayern initially weren’t moving for this big talent, but their minds have since changed! That’s because Alphonso Davies racked up a lot of missed minutes through injury last season and because of the concrete interest from Arsenal and Real Madrid (and, I hear, from Enzo Maresca at Manchester City) in Brown. So, Bayern know that if they don’t move for the 22-year-old left-back now, they won’t sign this player for the future. And my goodness, does he have a big future!

“He’s with the German national team here in the States and is fighting with David Raum for the left-back spot for the World Cup team. I heard that Bayern Munich already knocked on the door of Frankfurt, but sporting director Markus Krösche is saying he won’t sell Nathaniel Brown for less than €60m [£51.9m], and he’s ideally looking for €65m [£56.2m]. He knows that if he performs at the World Cup, the price is only going to go up. So, Frankfurt are happy to wait. Nathaniel Brown himself would love to play for Bayern Munich. There’s already been contact with the player, and there’s no problem with securing personal terms; he’d love to make this next step.”

Could Bayern sell Alphonso Davies?

Davies is a world-class player, and there is no doubt about that. However, he has badly struggled with injury problems, and it is becoming a big headache for Bayern.

Brown not only plays as a left-back but also operate on the right, which is an added advantage.

Tom Bischof was often used last season as a left-back, but Kompany views him as a natural central midfielder, who is likely to take Leon Goretzka’s place.

If Brown joins, and Bayern pay a high transfer fee, they may look to offload Davies, who has been admirers from Saudi Arabia.

The Bild journalist adds: “If it happens and Bayern have to pay such a high amount, perhaps they could sell Alphonso Davies to Saudi Arabia, as there is interest.

“With other clubs, there’s always going to be a problem with a high price tag and a salary of €20m [£17.2m]. This could be a big problem for a player who spent much of the 2025/26 season injured.”
