The municipality of Saint-André-de-la-Roche, near Nice, has identified minors after Friday night disorder following a World Cup match.
According to Nice-Matin, complaints may be filed if necessary and the town plans further steps.
The disturbances took place around the Château residences in the Paillon valley and involved antisocial behaviour and risks to public safety.
The municipality regards the incidents as intolerable, with minors among those involved.
The identified youths will be summoned with their parents to meet the mayor and the first deputy.
Mayor Jean-Jacques Carlin does not intend to let the matter rest.
He left Les Républicains in 2022 and, just after the municipal elections, joined the majority of Éric Ciotti and Charles Ange Ginésy at the Alpes-Maritimes departmental council.
