Polish footballer Mateusz Klich takes aim at Lionel Messi and his family, criticizing the management at Inter Miami.
Now 35 years old, Mateusz Klich spent two and a half seasons in Major League Soccer (MLS) with Atlanta United and DC United before returning home to Krakow this summer. Although he never played for Inter Miami, he makes it clear he’s not a fan of Lionel Messi’s club. In comments reported by the Daily Mail, Klich didn’t hold back when talking about the Florida franchise and Messi’s entourage.
"I don’t recommend Miami as long as Messi is there. It’s a disaster. People are leaving, coaches and physiotherapists are leaving. From an organizational point of view, it’s bad. It’s basically Messi’s father who runs the club. Everyone speaks Spanish, and nothing can be done without their approval. The club itself is also located 45-50 minutes from Miami. I would recommend New York. Red Bull now has a better stadium, but New York City (the City Football Group’s affiliate) is also building a fantastic stadium. There are clubs like Columbus Crew and Cincinnati with great stadiums and excellent infrastructure, but life there is very boring. I’d recommend Nashville if you get the chance to go to Nashville SC. It’s a beautiful place, the country’s capital. Portland and Seattle have a good atmosphere, but they’re at the end of the world." he stated.
