Mohamed Koné makes his debut with Aston Villa

After an impressive trial period with Aston Villa, Mohamed Koné has put pen to paper to officially become a member of the English side.

The 18-year-old midfielder took part in several of Aston Villa's first-team pre-season matches. He was then integrated into the U21 squad under the guidance of Jimmy Shan.

A product of ASEC Mimosas, the young Ivorian is already making a name for himself with the U21s. Sporting the number 8 shirt, he was named in the starting lineup on Friday, August 29, 2025, against Chelsea U21 in a league match.

However, he couldn't prevent his side from falling to a 2-1 defeat, with the winning goal conceded in stoppage time.
