Mohamed Ouédraogo joins Lyon from SCR Altach on five-year deal | OneFootball

Lyon have signed Burkina Faso international Mohamed Ouédraogo, 23, from SCR Altach on a five-year contract. The club said in a statement that he has joined permanently.

The transfer is worth €2.2m, with bonuses up to €0.6m and a 10 per cent share of any future transfer profit.

Born in Burkina Faso, he played for SC Majestic before moving to Europe in the winter of 2023.

After initially coming through Altach’s youth ranks, he stepped up to the first team and made 72 appearances, scoring five goals and supplying four assists.

An attacking-minded full-back, he featured 35 times in all competitions in 2025-26, with four goals and three assists, becoming one of Altach’s key players.

Capped nine times by Burkina Faso, he is Lyon’s fourth summer signing after Kaïl Boudache (19), Mads Bidstrup (25) and Julien Duranville (20). The early business should help Les Gones prepare for the Champions League qualifying rounds.
