Mohamed Salah’s future at Liverpool is up in the air, with his contract set to expire next June. While recent rumors have linked him to Paris Saint-Germain, a new suitor has emerged, potentially tempting him away from Anfield. As a result, there’s an update on the veteran’s future amid ongoing reports.
According to Football Insider, Salah is seeking a lucrative new deal to stay at Liverpool until 2027. The 32-year-old, who has cemented his place as a club legend with his impressive goal-scoring record, is reportedly hoping for “three more years” at the club.
In recent weeks, speculation about Salah’s future has centered around PSG, a move to Saudi Arabia, or staying at Liverpool. However, Barcelona have reportedly now entered the race, with the veteran forward becoming a serious target for the Spanish club as his contract nears its end.

James Pearce mentioned on The Athletic FC Podcast that he gets the sense Salah wants to stay at Liverpool, but the club’s offer has to be the right one.
“I get the impression that Salah wants to stick around,” Pearce said (h/t TBR Football). “But of course, it’s got to be the kind of deal that he feels that adequately kind of rewards his value and enduring importance to the club.
“And we know that Fenway Sports Group, Liverpool’s owners, you know, are wary of over-committing funds to players in the twilight of their career. And of course, Salah will turn 33 next June.
