Monaco ‘to consider signing’ Erik Lira if Lamine Camara leaves | OneFootball

Monaco are considering a move for Cruz Azul and Mexico midfielder Erik Lira, 26, if Lamine Camara leaves this summer. TUDN reports that he is among the options being assessed.

Monaco have already allowed Aladji Bamba to join Newcastle, and they also expect to lose Lamine Camara during this window.

Initial enquiries have been made regarding Lira, but no advanced talks or formal steps have taken place yet.

A regular for Mexico, Lira has played four World Cup matches. He is under contract at Cruz Azul until June 2029.

He has not yet played club football outside the Mexican league.
