The MLS is back, baby!
That’s right, the Major League Soccer is back in action and with four incredible matchups. After what has been a World Cup adrenaline run (the final between Spain and Argentina is still pending), Montreal CF and Toronto FC are taking on the role of starting the second part of the regular season.
Both teams arrived at this encounter with plenty of absences.
On Toronto’s side, the players unavailable for this match are: Matheus Pereira, Nelson Palacio, Markus Cimermancic, Lazar Stefanovic, Nicksoen Gomis, Jonathan Osorio.
On the other side, CF Montréal will head into its first match after the World Cup break with the following players unavailable: Prince-Osei Owusu, Wikelman Carmona, and Bode Hidalgo.
With this being said, join us for this Montreal vs Toronto preview. In this article, we will discuss the latest news, provide information on how to watch the game, and present the predicted formation.

The encounter between these two teams will start at 7:30 p.m. at the Saputo Stadium in Montreal.
This match is available to watch live on Apple TV. Remember, all MLS games can only be watched through Apple TV.
Both teams are well below the level they expected to reach this season. As things stand, they are outside the MLS playoff positions and have failed to meet expectations with their performances.
With that in mind, this has all the makings of a closely contested match with chances at both ends.
However, I expect the goal tally to remain low. Based on the style of play both teams displayed during the first half of the regular season, I see this match ending in a draw.
Despite this, it will be exciting to watch the MLS again daily, even if this match is likely to end in a draw, supporters of both clubs will be eager to see Montréal and Toronto return to action after the lengthy World Cup break.
