Real Madrid’s 0-2 loss to Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League was a bitter pill to swallow, but the disappointment did not end there.
Adding to their woes, midfielder Eduardo Camavinga suffered what seems to be a hamstring injury during the match. While initial signs suggest it may not be too serious, the situation is still concerning.
The incident occurred in the 55th minute when Camavinga, attempting to regain possession in his own half, suddenly stopped and went to the ground. His reaction made it clear that something was wrong.
As medical staff rushed to assist, the midfielder clutched the back of his left leg, pointing to the hamstring area.
Initially calm, his teammates’ expressions quickly shifted to worry as they realised the issue could be more serious than it appeared.

Manager Carlo Ancelotti, visibly frustrated, shook his head while signalling for Dani Ceballos to prepare to substitute the injured midfielder. Camavinga, helped to his feet by the medical team, hobbled to the sidelines with a noticeable limp.
Instead of sitting on the bench, as initially planned, he was directed straight to the dressing room for further evaluation.
The atmosphere in the Madrid camp is now filled with concern as they await updates on Camavinga’s condition.
The team flew back to Madrid immediately after the match, landing in the early hours of the morning. Medical tests are scheduled to be conducted today to determine the extent of the injury.
This injury comes at a time when Real Madrid are already grappling with multiple challenges this season. Losing a key player like Camavinga, even temporarily, would be a significant blow to their squad.
Until the results of the medical examinations are known, both the player and the team face an anxious wait. For now, Madrid must hope that the injury is as minor as initial impressions suggest.
