Moreira waits, Mangala back in full training for OL | OneFootball

Lyon completed their second training session of the week on Wednesday at Décines ahead of Sunday’s trip to the Vélodrome to face Marseille. Orel Mangala trained normally, but Afonso Moreira remained on an individual programme.

According to Le Progres, Paulo Fonseca welcomed Mangala’s return after surgery to his left anterior cruciate ligament on 18 February 2025 and subsequent fitness setbacks.

The Belgian defensive midfielder has featured only in six cameos between 30 November and 22 January, including 45 minutes on Young Boys’ synthetic surface in the Europa League.

Mangala should be available for selection on Sunday. Moreira may not be, having already missed two matches, Nice and Strasbourg, with a hamstring issue and yet to rejoin full training.

Pavel Sulc, also hampered by a hamstring problem from the start of the match in Strasbourg, already seems set to miss out this Sunday.
