Morgan Gibbs-White wins April Player of the Month award | OneFootball

Morgan Gibbs-White has been named Premier League Player of the Month for April after an impressive run of performances that helped Nottingham Forest pull clear of the relegation zone.

The Forest captain was at the heart of a strong month for Vítor Pereira’s side, who collected seven points from a possible nine. That run included a 1-1 draw with Aston Villa, a 4-1 comeback win over Burnley and a dominant 5-0 victory at Sunderland.

Gibbs-White contributed directly to five goals across those matches, scoring four times and adding an assist. His standout display came against Burnley, where he produced a quickfire 15-minute hat-trick to completely turn the game around. He also scored and set one up in the win at Sunderland.

The 25-year-old was selected ahead of an eight-man shortlist featuring Jarrod Bowen, Konstantinos Mavropanos, Rayan Cherki, Nico O'Reilly, Pascal Gross, Noah Okafor and Alex Scott.

It is the first time Gibbs-White has won the award and marks another milestone in a season where he has become increasingly central to Forest’s attacking play.
