Defence

Emiliano Martinez wasn’t at his best against Celtic and needs to improve his presence. However, his position is not under threat at all. Matty Cash is likely to make way for John McGinn in the right-back position.

The centre-back duo of Ezri Konsa and Boubacar Kamara remain intact but no doubt that they can do better. Lucas Digne might have to make way for Ian Maatsen for the left full-back role.

Midfield

While Youri Tielemans continues at the heart of the defence, Lamare Bogarde is likely to warm the bench. To accompany the former in the middle of the park, Boubacar Kamara should get the nod.

Jacob Ramsey is maintaining his scoring form nicely and will operate on the right wing while Leon Bailey will be in action on the other side of the pitch. Morgan Rogers, who scored a hattrick on his previous outing, remains the attacking midfielder.

Ollie Watkins is leading the attacking line being the number nine in the lineup.

Pau Torres, Tyrone Mings and Amadou Onana are all sidelined for this fixture while Ross Barkley could make it into the team.
