According to Ouest-France, Mostafa Mohamed returned to La Jonelière on Wednesday after a month away from the squad.
The Egypt striker arrived earlier in the week and carried out an individual session on Wednesday. In the coming days he will continue his preparation with the reserve side, who play in National 2.
The 28-year-old had not been in contact with the club since training restarted on 24 June, a silence that prompted head coach Michel Der Zakarian to voice his frustration publicly.
Mohamed is coming off a disappointing 2025-26 campaign, scoring four goals in 24 Ligue 1 appearances, and he was not selected by Egypt for the World Cup.
Eager to operate at the highest level, he does not wish to play in Ligue 2 with Nantes. His salary has been reduced after relegation, in line with clauses in his contract.
Nantes begin their league campaign at home on Saturday eight August against Red Star FC.
