Mousa al-Tamari stuns Lyon with sensational tight-angle volley | OneFootball

In the 5th minute of Lyon v Rennes on Sunday, Jordanian Mousa al-Tamari opened the scoring with a brilliant left-foot volley from a very tight angle.

On matchday 32 of Ligue 1, the strike may give the Puskas Award judges a new contender.

Completely wide on the left of the box, al-Tamari met a long pass from Estéban Lepaul and caught everyone out, not least Lyon goalkeeper Dominik Greif. His volley flew into the far top corner beyond the Slovak keeper.

Lepaul, Ligue 1’s leading scorer on 17 goals, also added his fifth league assist of the season.

For now, his side have the upper hand in this decisive meeting for a Champions League place.
