Move to England: FC Bayern Confirms Departure | OneFootball

FC Bayern Munich needs to generate some revenue this summer in order to carry out all of its transfer plans. One attacking player is now set to move to England. 

That player is Jonah Kusi-Asare. He was already on loan to Fulham FC last season but didn’t play a major role there. Nevertheless, he made a good impression on the English club, especially in training.

In fact, as the season drew to a close, it became clear that the Cottagers wanted to sign him permanently. However, they were not willing to pay the amount stipulated in the buyout clause, which was between ten and twelve million euros.

FC Bayern Confirms His Departure

The Swedish striker’s transfer is now official. As FC Bayern has confirmed, everything has been finalized and the transfer has been completed.

“Jonah Kusi-Asare joined FC Bayern at age 16 and is yet another example of how we develop international talent at the highest level. He impressed the coaching staff at Fulham last season, so he will now pursue his next goals there. We wish him all the best for his future,” said sporting director Max Eberl.

According to reports, the record champions will receive around six million euros for the Swedish forward, whom Fulham now hopes to gradually develop. In Munich, the club still appears to believe that the forward has further potential, which is why the record champions have apparently secured a buyback option.

However, no such option was mentioned in the press release announcing the sale. That is not strictly necessary, though. Jonah Kusi-Asare had earned his way through the U19 ranks at the FC Bayern Campus to earn appearances with the reserve team and ultimately with the first team, for whom he played a total of two matches.
