MP-SP opens probe into Corinthians Fiscal Council members over alleged ideological falsehood | OneFootball

Prosecutor Cássio Conserino at the Ministério Público de São Paulo has opened a procedure into alleged ideological falsehood involving Corinthians’ Conselho Fiscal, after suspended president Haroldo Dantas joined a meeting on the club’s 2025 accounts. The move was set out in a dispatch signed on Wednesday, according to Meu Timao.

He wrote that he had received complaints about Dantas’s participation despite his suspension by the Comissão de Ética e Disciplina, which had removed him from CF duties.

Conserino calls it a serious omission by fellow members Paulo Pimentel and Cláudio Senise, whose attendance validated Dantas’s act. The document says the opinion from that meeting ignored the legally relevant suspension, which could amount to ideological falsehood and undermine its legitimacy.

It argues that Dantas’s signature created a false composition of the council and, with the acquiescence of the other two, left the opinion tainted and unable to produce legal effects. He also cited other ongoing inquiries, including scrutiny of possible judicial intervention at the club.

The dispatch says this probe does not rule out potential reckless management charges against Dantas, Pimentel and Senise. It orders summoning Ronaldo Fernandes Tomé, the Ethics and Discipline Commission member who suspended Dantas, for a hearing on 18, requests the case file from Corinthians, and sends a copy to the Promotoria do Patrimônio Público e Social, where a judicial intervention inquiry is pending. On four May, Conserino sought a new inquiry, citing an urgent prospect of judicial intervention over irregularities in approval of the 2025 accounts.
