Roma will have a tough decision to make by June 30th, as they’ll have to record at least one big ‘plusvalenza’ to abide by a settlement agreement with UEFA and are assessing who the best candidate might be, and Evan N’Dicka is gaining traction in that sense.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, the Giallorossi will have to raise €60M by the end of the current balance sheet period. One big sale might not be enough. Their owners would like to keep Mile Svilar, Niccolò Pisilli, and Matias Soulé, barring a really mammoth offer. The first joined for free, like the Ivorian midfielder, while the second one is a home-grown product. They acquired the Argentine for €25M in 2024.
N’Dicka and Manu Koné are the top options, and Roma are canvassing the market to see how much either could fetch. The former has been in the Eternal City since 2023 and has piled up 122 appearances, scoring 6 goals and providing 5 assists.
Per Caught Offside, the center-back is attracting big-ticket suitors. He could be a fallback target for Barcelona if they missed out on Alessandro Bastoni. Three Premier League sides, Tottenham, Liverpool, and Manchester United, and Bayern Munich have taken an interest as well. The Spurs tried last summer but came up empty-handed. The Giallorossi are hoping for a bidding war that would drive his price tag to €40/45M.
Chances are they’ll lose a pair of pieces before reloading in July and August. The real achievement would be to contain the damage to one, pulling the trigger on the most profitable departure possible. He’s been rock-solid, but he’s probably easier to substitute than Koné and has a lower upside.
