Murphy leads 2025 assist charts | OneFootball

After a tricky start to their Championship campaign, Portsmouth surged to safety and the form of their flying winger Josh Murphy has played a big part in Pompey climbing the table.

The former Norwich and Oxford attacker has been in irresistible nick since the turn of the year - and his 10 assists in the second tier in 2025 mean he is the only player in the top four tiers to reach double figures for assists during this timeframe.

Over the season as a whole, Murphy now has 14 assists to his name in the Championship - a tally greater than any other player across the entire EFL.

The only player across 'The 92' with more assists this season is Liverpool's Mo Salah, with 18, although Murphy is still a few assists ahead of his twin brother, Newcastle's Jacob Murphy, who has laid on 11 Premier League goals in 2024/25.
