Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala described the Bundesliga title-clinching victory over Stuttgart as a significant moment for the team, pointing to clear mental progress over the course of the season.

“I think this is a big moment for us and for the whole team,” Musiala said. “Before the season, we said we wanted to take the next step mentally - and we’ve shown that this season.”

The midfielder also revealed that his substitution at half-time had been pre-planned as part of workload management. “It was planned that I would come off after 45 minutes. This is a phase where we also have to manage ourselves,” he explained.

Despite a positive overall performance, Musiala admitted he had room for improvement. “I’m satisfied, but I should have scored a goal. Still, it was a good day for me overall.”

On the Stuttgart side, captain Atakan Karazor pointed to a strong start that ultimately unraveled too quickly.

“We started the game very well and could have scored more goals,” Karazor said. “We knew Bayern would have their chances, but we gave the game away far too quickly with three goals conceded in ten minutes.”

Looking ahead, Karazor emphasised the team’s ambitions for the remainder of the season. “We want to reach the Champions League places and make it to the DFB-Pokal final - that’s what I will be telling my teammates.”

Teammate Chris Führich struck a similarly pragmatic tone, calling for a swift reset. “We’ll shake this game off now and focus on our remaining goals,” he said.
