Nancy bids rejected as Hacène Benali seeks Red Star exit | OneFootball

AS Nancy Lorraine have moved to sign Red Star striker Hacène Benali, but initial bids have been turned down and the player is frustrated.

According to L'Équipe, Nancy sent several proposals to their Ligue 2 counterparts, all of which were rejected as too low.

Benali, 26 and under contract until 2027, has told Red Star he wants to join Nancy, who finished 14th last season.

Unhappy with his minutes last term, he made six starts in 27 Ligue 2 appearances and scored six goals. He joined Red Star in 2021 and would like to leave in the coming days.

Red Star are holding firm on their demands for now, and the financial details of Nancy’s offers have not been disclosed.
