Nantes set to sign Lucas Perrin on two-year deal | OneFootball

Nantes are set to sign Lucas Perrin, 27, on a two-year contract as they seek experienced reinforcements for a return to Ligue 1.

According to L'Équipe, the former Marseille and Strasbourg centre-back is poised to join after a season at Sporting Gijon in Spain's second tier, who finished 10th. He had a year remaining on his contract there and the fee has not been disclosed.

Perrin left Strasbourg in summer 2024 for Hamburg in the German second division, then moved on loan during 2024-2025 to Cercle Brugge. Last summer he joined Gijon and made 24 appearances in LaLiga2.

Nantes have already strengthened with goalkeeper Maxime Dupé from Nice and midfielder Wilitty Younoussa from Rodez, both on free transfers. The club have also extended versatile full-back Frédéric Guilbert's deal until 2028.

Perrin's experience would further bolster the squad as they target promotion.
