Napoli nearing move for Max Allegri as Vincenzo Italiano leaves Bologna | OneFootball

Serie A side Napoli have been hunting for a replacement for Antonio Conte and they have now made significant progress in a move for Max Allegri.

Initially, it appeared as though Vincenzo Italiano was nearing a move to the Partenopei.

Gianluca di Marzio has now reported that it is Allegri who is likely to be the next Napoli manager. Contacts have been frequent between the two parties since yesterday and Aurelio De Laurentiis has now intensified negotiations.

In the coming hours, a final agreement could also be reached. Napoli are aiming to reach a basic agreement over a two-year deal in a contract that has been underlined in previous discussions too.

Italiano leaves Bologna

Napoli are going for this decision, despite knowing that Italiano is leaving Bologna.

He has reached an consensual agreement with the Rossoblu, who are prepared to now free the manager from his contract. There was no friction between the parties and talks were held rather peacefully. Despite that, Italiano still has to wait to find his next destination.
