Nearly 50,000 Lens fans expected at Stade de France final against Nice | OneFootball

The Pas-de-Calais prefecture announced on Wednesday that nearly 50,000 RC Lens supporters will be at the Stade de France for Friday’s Coupe de France final against OGC Nice, which kicks off at 21:00.

Each finalist was allocated 19,600 tickets, only 50% of the 80,000 available, and the stadium is expected to be largely Lens.

The estimate covers fans travelling from Pas-de-Calais, with further Lens supporters from other regions also travelling to back the team.

They will be backing a club that has never won the Coupe de France in 120 years.

Up to three quarters of the Saint-Denis venue could be in Lens colours, while many Nice supporters are angered by rail and air fares for the trip.
