Nehuén Pérez is Liga Portugal MVP after scoring in FC Porto win

Nehuén Pérez was named MVP of the Liga Portugal after returning to the starting line-up almost a year after the serious injury he suffered in matchday 5 of the 2025/26 edition of the competition. The Argentine defender opened the scoring in FC Porto’s 2-0 win over Rio Ave in Vila do Conde.

Diogo Costa also stood out: he successfully dealt with the only save he was called upon to make, shortly before half-time, and once again finished the competition’s second matchday without conceding, earning his second Clean Sheet award.
