Neil Lennon believes that there is a massive gap between Celtic and Rangers. The Irishman watched his former side open up a sixteen point gap at the top of the table, meaning Brendan Rodgers’ side can win the title if they win their next three games.
Speaking as he promoted Sunday’s Premier Cup coverage from Celtic Park, Lennon said that a chasm exists between Celtic and their city rivals ahead of next weekend’s Glasgow Derby.
“It’s a chasm. I couldn’t believe the result from Ibrox on Saturday.
“I thought with Barry going in there and with the change he made against Kilmarnock it was a positive one and it got them the result and the performance, you are thinking ‘maybe there is a bit of momentum there’. But it’s gone the other way.

“There is a huge fragility there in the squad and for whoever takes over, whether it be Barry or somebody else, everyone talks about a rebuild but for me it’s a change of culture and psychology that is needed more than anything else.
“I think they’ve got some good players there but obviously the psychology of the team isn’t right.”
Celtic will hope to overcome Hibs to set up a return to Hampden in their bid to retain the Scottish Cup. Attention will then to mourn towards the visit from Barry Ferguson’s struggling side.
Lennon was one of Martin O’Neill’s most trusted lieutenants as he started a revolution in Glasgow’s East End, which culminated in Celtic becoming the top team in the country. Lennon then assumed the management role himself to push Celtic into prime position before Rangers went into administration then liquidation.
