Nelson Weiper joins Sturm Graz on season-long loan from Mainz | OneFootball

Mainz 05 confirmed that striker Nelson Weiper will spend the 2026/27 season on loan at Sturm Graz.

Sporting director Niko Bungert described Weiper as an outstanding German forward who has already made notable strides with Bundesliga appearances and goals at a young age.

The club and player agreed that regular starts at the highest possible level are now crucial for his development.

Sturm Graz presented a convincing plan offering him opportunities across different competitions next season, aiming to help him take another step forward, and Mainz wished him every success.

Weiper, 21, has made 74 first-team appearances for Mainz, scoring seven goals.
