New Real Madrid signing responds to Lamine Yamal’s France warning | OneFootball

Real Madrid summer signing Ibrahima Konaté has on Sunday provided his response to the warning message sent the way of he and his fellow countryman by Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal.

France and Spain have of course been pitted against one another in a mouthwatering upcoming clash in the semi-finals of the World Cup.

The former head into the fixture, in the eyes of most, as favourites, owing to their explosive attacking power and performance to this point in the competition.

Spain, however, boast the recent advantage in meetings with Les Bleus, having emerged triumphant from the last two fixtures between the countries.

The aforementioned Lamine Yamal was in turn keen to remind Didier Deschamps’ troops of as much late this week:

“I think that if France has to fear anyone, it’s us. We’re the ones who have knocked them out before.”

During his own exchange with the media on Sunday, France and Real Madrid defender Ibrahima Konaté was therefore drawn on the comments of his upcoming opponent.

And the former Liverpool man went on to assure:

“We shouldn’t be afraid of anyone, we need to stay humble and not fall into that trap. He can say whatever he wants…”
