Manchester City’s charity, City in the Community (CITC), is excited to launch a new staff story-telling series.
The exclusive YouTube content will see CITC staff, from across all areas and programmes of the charity, share personal stories of their careers and time with the organisation. Through this series, the stories will highlight the people who empower healthier lives through football, improve mental and physical wellbeing, and create opportunities for people across Greater Manchester.
The first story comes from Lucy Gaskell-Milward, CITC’s Primary and SEND Schools Manager. Lucy, who has been at CITC for over eight years, talks about her love of coming to work for CITC, saying: “To be able to work for a really big community organisation and join the team and be part of the great work that they were doing - that was probably the biggest pull into the organisation.
“I enjoy what I do, whether there are challenges or not. It’s such a great place to be at... It’s definitely made me better as a person.”
CITC currently has 127 staff members, ranging from part-time to full time.
Head of People and Culture Natalie Ingham commented on the series saying: “At CITC, we are passionate about supporting staff development as our team role model and create positive impact for so many of our participants across Greater Manchester.
“Through this series we want to showcase the incredible range of journeys within our team and demonstrate how CITC offers individually rewarding career opportunities, that ultimately enhance the impactful work they are delivering in the community."
