Club insists the documents support its position

New twist in Zamalek–Zizo legal battle
Zamalek officials say they are confident in their legal position after the Players Affairs Committee reopened the dispute with Ahmed “Zizo”.
A new development emerged in the legal dispute between Zamalek and their former star Ahmed Mostafa Zizo. The Players Affairs Committee has decided to review the case again from the beginning to study all documents submitted by both sides.
According to a source inside Zamalek who spoke to “Kora Plus”, the club believes the decision to reopen the file confirms that the process will follow the correct legal path.
The source also rejected recent reports suggesting the club could be forced to pay the player 40 to 60 million Egyptian pounds saying those claims are not accurate.
Zamalek officials say they already submitted documents proving that Zizo received all his financial dues during his time at the club. The same source added that the club is actually seeking compensation from the player related to television and advertising appearances.
According to the club’s position, the player’s complaint includes only his contract with Zamalek, without additional documents to support the financial claims.
Club officials also expressed confidence in the newly formed Players Affairs Committee expecting the body to examine the case carefully and determine which party is responsible.
The dispute centers on large financial claims from both sides. Zizo reportedly demands more than 80 million Egyptian pounds in unpaid dues linked to his time with Zamalek.
In response, Zamalek insist they are owed around 20 million Egyptian pounds arguing that the player missed training sessions in the past without permission which they consider a breach of contract.
To reach a final decision, the Players Affairs Committee is expected to invite the player and Zamalek’s legal representatives for official hearings. During these sessions, both sides will have the chance to present their evidence and legal arguments.
